Law firm looking for strong corporate commercial paralegal with conveyancing and financing, as well as strong admin skills.    Must be adept with word processing and able to draft pleadings, documents and correspondence from dictation, precedent and on own.     Candidate must have keen eye to detail and be able to produce accurate correspondence and documents in timely manner.    Require ability to proofread outgoing documents for accuracy and ensure they comply with legal procedures.   Should have ability to access and use on-line legal resources, preferably with Spin II .   Must have good file management, scheduling, billing, accounts receivable and database management.    Duties include opening files, working files from beginning to end, review of instructions, conducting requisite searches, drafting appropriate documentation, including transfers, mortgages, caveats, calculating cash to close, registering documents with Land Titles, all contact with clients to obtain information from them and answer queries, reporting letters, etc.    Responsible for scheduling client meetings, searches, registrations with Corporate Registry, meeting clients and responding to inquiries.      Communication skills requisite in order to liaison with legal assistants, other lawyers and clients and update them on file progress.    Candidates should have 5 years corp/comm experience in province, as well as solicitor work.  Has to be accurate and detail-oriented and possess sound judgment and initiative and be dedicated to providing quality service to clients.    Strong diplomacy required in dealing with clients, ability to multi-task, establish priorties, work independently and have good problem-solving skills.
