We are seeking an entry level person to join our Procurement Group on Clarence Avenue. In this clerical role, you will work closely with the production, manufacturing, quality assurance and engineering functions to ensure all required material and components are available to support the Master Production Plan. This position is part office and part production floor work environment. The right individual for this role is someone who likes to look after the details, who is organized and is looking for long term growth? We'd like to hear from you.  Must have excellent communication skills both oral and written.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Update inventory in MAPICS
  • Contact outside vendors to expedite incoming material shipments both by email and on the phone
  • Create and maintain priority lists
  • Direct materials to proper locations according to schedules
  • Verify that materials delivered are accurate
  • Keep records of inventories, including status and location
  • Track delivery progress and notify affected departments of any changes
  • Establish priority of deliveries based on department needs

  • High School or equivalent. Post-secondary education is an asset
  • Experience in an MRP based production environment is a definite asset
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Previous experience in production coordinating
  • Previous experience working with inventory is an asset
  • Knowledge of farm equipment is preferred
  • Clear communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a busy work environment
  • Computer skills. Experience with AS400 is a definite asset
  • Knowledge of farm equipment is preferred
