The purpose of this position is to direct, control, coordinate, plan and organize the Region’s activities in accordance with the objectives set by the National Sales Manager.

Hires, proactively supervises, and trains Territory Managers. Manages performance of all Territory Managers by evaluating past performance, developing action plans for improvement in deficient competencies and sets goals and objectives.
Continuously works to execute  strategic plans as they relate to the segments & target accounts. Ensures sales activities are aligned with the company’s annual strategic plan.
Contributes to the strategic planning process and identifies business development opportunities through analysis of the market in the designated regions.
Actively reviews project funnel for each territory manager and provides feedback to ensure the targets for project generation and success rates are achieved.
Provides monthly sales forecasting to the upper management and holds the team accountable for delivering the results.
Develops and maintains strong working relationship with the key contacts at the distribution partners, including their regional managers, branch managers and key account managers.
Develops and maintains strong business relationships with both existing and potential customers in the Region through the Territory Managers.
Provides timely reporting to the upper management on the performance and activities of the region, market trends and any other related competitive information.
Ensures that the regional activities (Projects, Quotes and Call Reports) are accurately documented in the CRM system in a timely manner.
Acts as back-up for the sales force in the field.
Prepares the sales team for new product introductions. Plans and coordinates all training programs for Territory Managers and customers within the Region.
Liaises with  internal staff to provide necessary resources that would contribute to their team’s success.

This job requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or minimum 6 to 8 years of position related experience. Engineering Degree and 8 - 10 years of experience.
Experience selling direct and through distribution. Familiarity with Wajax ,Motion, AIT,BDI and CB .
Preference to those in  mechanical products sold direct and through distribution.
