About Us

Driven by innovation, Sapphire Balconies is a leading global balcony specialist. We’re a well-established family firm, based in the UK, who are passionate about challenging traditional methods and going above and beyond to deliver an unrivalled service.

We are now looking for a Business Development Manager to join us and help us open up the Canadian condominium market.

We are the best at what we do, so we need incredible people on our team to help us achieve our ambitions. Here, you’ll be encouraged to use your initiative and will be rewarded for your performance and commitment.

We have experienced substantial success in the UK where we disrupted the market some years back and now have a dominant position in quality high-rise residential buildings. We are growing into Ireland and opening in New Zealand and are hungry to build a substantial successful Canadian operation. If you are eager for the chance to prove yourself and contribute to the future of our fast-growing business, this is the role for you.

The Role

As the Business Development Manager, you will identify and develop new business opportunities for our outstanding balcony solutions within the condominium market.

In this important role, you will promote the benefits of our unique approach to the design and installation of balconies. You will do this by delivering thought leadership events and exhibitions and positioning Sapphire as a professional supplier via a network of licensees.

You will proactively identify architects, engineers and property developers to secure specifications in the early design stages and work with licensees to develop the pipeline of project pricing enquiry leads.

Additionally, you will:

- Identify and follow up on leads and build strong working relationships
- Drive awareness of our brand in terms of product performance and cost effectiveness through lunch and learn presentations
- Influence potential clients to incorporate our products into their design portfolio
- Provide the Pre-Construction Team with as much information as possible to assess the suitability of projects
- Target influential people to the condominium construction market to gain support, attend events and build the Sapphire reputation credibly
About You

To join us as a Business Development Manager, you will need:

- At least three years’ successful business development experience in the Canadian residential condominium construction market
- To have organised and run 60 or more lunch and learn presentations with high levels of delegate satisfaction
- A track record of meeting with architects and condominium development company directors
- A full driving licence
