The Business Development Representative's primary purpose is to increase the sales of MEDISCA`s products and services with the current wholesalers, hospitals and pharmacy chains. It also involves obtaining new business contracts with current and prospective clients.

Manage and Maintain US Wholesaler, Hospital, Buying Group, GPOs and Corporate Accounts

  • Secure partnerships with US accounts by responding to questions and concerns
  • Update contracts, proposals and price agreements and discuss changes with clients
  • Attend tradeshows, corporate meetings, and conferences to secure partnerships

Generate New Business

  • Obtain new clients for Medisca Pharmaceuticals and Medisca Network
  • Generate leads through market research, interviews, referrals and cold calling.
  • Initiate and follow up on marketing campaigns and advertising efforts

Maintain Statistics

  • Create statistical reports of past sales and identify current and future trends
  • Perform market sales analysis for each customer and product
  • Develop strategies to increase sales

TRAVEL: Approximately three (3) to four (4) months per year to attend tradeshows, meetings, and conferences.

Required Skills:
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking and ability to problem solve
  • Excellent communication skills required; fluent English (oral & written) required
  • Proven professionalism and demonstrated leadership skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) required; Syspro an asset
Required Experience:
  • Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in corporate sales
  • Bachelor''s degree in a Business related field
