QUALITY ASSURANCE ANALYST
As part of our client's Quality Assurance Department in Montreal, reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible to prepare, develop, and execute manual test strategies. As a Quality Assurance Analyst your role will include the following:
- Prepare testing strategy & develop test cases and plans for GUI and back-end applications.
- Report and document problems encountered during testing (knowledge of BugZilla is an asset).
- Participate in continuous Quality Assurance training and conferences in order to improve quality and productivity within the QA team.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- University degree in computer science or engineering and/or a minimum of 2 years of related QA experience.
- Excellent knowledge of methodologies and technologies in QA areas
- Strong networking, distributed design, and troubleshooting techniques experience.
- Knowledge of the Linux command-line interface.
- At least intermediate knowledge of a modern programming language or modern scripting language
- Proven ability to be structured, organized and detail oriented.
- Strong personal interest in learning new technologies.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
OPTIONAL SKILLS
- Participated in manual GUI application testing.
- Network concepts (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, and other services)
- Linux OS (installation and maintenance)
- CVS
- Perl
